Wysocki

I certainly do not feel like I have not a clue as to what she was talking about. Is she saying that we can choose colors and backgrounds to illustrate a visual meaning to what we write? I understand that how we present writing can pursaude someone to feel a certain way about a topic. If I am writing about a beautiful sunset with dark colors versus bright oranges, yellows, and reds the mood will be different. We can make words stick out to persaude the reader into catching those words, which can visually illustrate our point of a topic. I feel like I am missing a big part of this reading. Most likely because I have never had to read about this type of writing. Sometimes leaving things sinmple will let the reader read whats there without any conflicting thoughts. As soon as we change colors or order of words the reader has to buy into the writer’s way of seeing it. I am not sure I am on the right track with this reading, hopefully we discuss Wysocki’s views and then I can add to this blog.

Kairos

Hello, let me see if I can even explain a new word I read about. Kairos is a way to explain time in a non-calendar manner, rather just a point in time that actions or something can occur. Since today in sunny and very warm it is a kairos time to be outside. I enjoyed reading about this term because it made me think about time in a new way. I think you have to think of kairos when arguments are present because a certain time in society or in a person’s life can influence an argument to a large degree. If my bother just died in a drunk driver accident then I will probably not be agreeing with my buddy who thinks it okay to drive after he was drinking. There are many situations that are very similar. I have not recently kept up with the debates. I guess i will do some catch up and finish responding later to the questions. Also I only hit save not publish the first time around with this blog.

How does this work?

I recently became familiar with Facebook and MySpace, which i still have not a clue on how it works. I have noticed a link on people’s home pages for blogs. When i first saw the link I wondered what it was all about and I clicked the link. I started to read what someone had wrote. Most of the blogs I have read are nothing important, but a few blogs caught my eye. I enjoyed reading what people were thinking, what was on their mind, or what was going on and decided to write my own.
